JOIN US – HALLOWEEN BULB PLANTING

On October 28th, the Seward Park Conservancy is hosting our Halloween Bulb Planting! All ages are welcome to come in costume and help us plant 1,000+ bulbs around the park including daffodils, hyacinths and muscari. From Essex Street to the surrounding beds throughout Seward Park, we will ensure the park is covered in flowers come spring. We will have tools and gloves for children and adults, as well as giveaways and treats. Join us in celebrating the fall and making our shared spaces beautiful!

NEW PLANT SIGNAGE

You can soon learn more about our Seward Park plants! In the upcoming weeks, new signs will be placed throughout the park sharing the genus and species of our native plants. The Seward Park Conservancy is thrilled to educate our community more about the greenery that makes up our beautiful space. From our pollinator meadow to videos about our planting process, it is such a joy to bring more opportunities to learn into the park.

WE MET OUR MATCH

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our ioby fundraiser! As part of ioby’s NYC Green Fund Crowdfunding Challenge, they matched over $3,000 in donations. These vital funds will help us continue to add more native and weather-resistant plants to keep Seward Park green and host community events to bring all ages together! Seward Park is a space for us to gather and enjoy the outdoors as a community — and now, because of your support, we can continue to tend to the park together and watch it flourish under our combined care.
