| | | | | We're lucky to have hosted so many enthusiastic groups at the park lately. First, an amazing cohort from Quizlet helped clean up the park—a few hours and a few full trash bags later, Seward Park was looking beautiful as ever! These important clean-up efforts were followed by our lovely volunteers from New York Cares and Barclays Center, who picked up trash, weeded out celandine, removed dead shrubs, and planted the beds in our historic Schiff Fountain (all while pushing through those pollen sneezes!). Stop by soon to see the new azaleas, phlox, and heuchera! We're grateful the park was in such gorgeous shape for our wonderful day of educational programming and hands-on experience in the garden with Apex For Youth. This lucky group of nearly 60 (wow!) kids was the first to ever be brought into our meadows, and we had a great time talking to them about our bee houses, pollinator plants, and more. |
